Our team spans the U.S. and Latin America, and we take on a variety of projects — including publishing work for CR Languages, a language school that produces the Spanish with Julieta educational book series.
The Role
We're looking for a Book Publishing Specialist to help produce and publish the Spanish with Julieta series for CR Languages. This person will take book content from manuscript stage through to publish-ready files, handling layout, typesetting, and production. Experience in the educational textbook space is highly preferred.
This is an as-needed role, starting at approximately 10–20 hours per month. If it's a good fit, hours will increase over time.
What You'll Do
Design and lay out educational books in Adobe InDesign
Prepare export-ready files (PDF, ePub) that meet print-on-demand platform specifications
Work with existing brand guidelines and templates to maintain visual consistency across the series
Collaborate with authors and editors to incorporate revisions and finalize content
Manage production timelines and communicate progress to the team
What We're Looking For
Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign — this is the primary tool for the role
Experience in book publishing, including layout and preparing files for print-on-demand and digital distribution
Experience producing eBooks (ePub, Kindle) in addition to print formats
Experience with educational textbooks or instructional materials is highly preferred
Familiarity with print-on-demand platforms (e.g., KDP, IngramSpark) and their file specifications
Attention to detail, especially with text-heavy, multi-page documents
Ability to work independently and manage your own deadlines
English proficiency is a plus but not required; Spanish proficiency is a plus given the subject matter
